Lean Startup is an approach that every aspiring entrepreneur should know about. In this video, I’ll present the 5 best takeaways (in my opinion) from the book that happens to have the same name – The Lean Startup, by Eric Ries.
How to start your first business: http://bit.ly/391czmD
Top 5 takeaways from The Lean Startup:
0:00 Intro
01:12 1. The Build-Measure-Learn Feedback Loop
03:28 2. Everything is a Grand Experiment
05:21 3. Different Types of Mvps
07:24 4. The Three Engines of Growth
10:04 5. Pivot or Persevere?
TL;DW:
- The goal of a startup is to figure out the right thing to build – that customers want and will pay for - as quickly as possible
- To confirm or reject your hypothesis, experiments must be run to gain validated learning about potential customers. An MVP usually forms the basis of such experiments.
- Three popular types of MVPs are: Video, concierge (cut) and the wizard of Oz
- Every startup should focus on an engine of growth – either the sticky, the viral or the paid one
- Successful entrepreneurship is about perseverance and flexibility at the same time. Pivoting an idea does not equal failure, in fact, almost every successful startup has done a major change to its strategy at some point.
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there – investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties – I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process – upgrading your money-making toolbox.

Adam Smith was a Scottish economist, philosopher and author, and a very successful one at that. His masterpiece “The Wealth of Nations” was released in 1776, and was at that time considered very controversial, but it has laid out the groundwork for pretty much all economics since. Smith is often referred to as “The Father of Economics” or “The Father of Capitalism”, for good reasons.

Top 5 takeaways from “The Wealth of Nations” by Adam Smith:
0:00 Intro
01:22 Productivity is king
04:38 Money: What is it and why do we use it?
07:35 The three components of price

In this animated video summary of A Random Walk Down Wall Street I will explain how you can beat Wall Street & and the “professionals” working there.
Learn how to pick your first stocks: http://bit.ly/37xT2JR
Top 5 Takeaways of A Random Walk Down Wall Street:
00:00 Intro
0:45 1. Fundamental Analysis doesn’t Outperform the Market
3:52 2. Technical Analysis doesn’t Outperform the Market (Either)
6:46 3. Human Psychology Makes It Even More Difficult to Beat the Market
8:59 4. The Random Walk and Efficient Market Hypothesis
10:39 5. How YOU Can Beat Wall Street
TL;DW:
- Takeaway number 1 is that fundamental analysis has a tough time beating the market.
- And the 2nd takeaway is that technical analysis doesn’t seem to be a winning strategy either.
- Number 3 is that beating the market is made even more difficult due to human psychology.
- 4 is that future market development is essentially a random walk, and therefore it cannot be predicted.
- The final takeaway is a hopeful one for the individual investor, as it suggests that he can easily beat the average analyst on Wall Street by simply buying and holding the market index.

‘Trade can make everyone better off’ is the notion that N. Gregory Mankiw, professor of economics at Harvard University presents it as one of the ten principles of the discipline in his popular introductory textbook, Principles of Economics.
Trade and technology are key forces that drive innovation, productivity, and economic growth. But they also have been important factors behind the rise in inequalities we have witnessed. Trade tends to increase inequality and it tends to be tough for people.
What should we do about that?
At his lecture series on GREAT MINDS, Mankiw discusses the right approach that we should do about increased inequality caused by the free trade.
Retreat away from free trade is the wrong approach, he argues.
Instead, he suggests better training to turn unskilled workers into skilled workers and a more robust social safety net that will help those people who are suffering.

A playlist that will help you in mastering Benjamin Graham’s art of Value Investing: http://bit.ly/2Txvxgd
---
Top 5 takeaways from The Intelligent Investor:
0:00 Intro
0:48 1. Meet Mr. Market
2:59 2. How to invest as a defensive investor
5:25 3. How to invest as an enterprising investor
8:10 4. Insist on a margin of safety
9:54 5. Risk and reward are not always correlated
---
TL;DW:
- Firstly, the market tends to be overoptimistic and too pessimistic from time to time. Don’t let this influence what you think that the true value of your assets are. Instead, see it as a business opportunity, where you get to deal with a person who has no idea of what he’s doing.
- Secondly, the defensive investor should go for a diversified portfolio of stocks and bonds, where the stock-category consists of primarily low-priced issues.
- Thirdly, the enterprising investor should also aim for stocks that show lower price tendencies. If he can find a company that is trading below its net working capital, he might have found his El Dorado.
-The forth takeaway is that the intelligent investor should insist on a margin of safety when acquiring an asset.
- And finally, takeaway number 5 is that risk and reward aren’t necessarily correlated.

--------
In this clip, Neil deGrasse Tyson took aim at the longstanding racist trope of black people being likened to monkeys and being their closest human kin. However Neil explained that the closest relatives to monkeys would have to be white people due to the striking similarities in lips size and hairiness. He also went onto note how 19th century anthropology was arguably the most racist branch of science during the most racist period in human history.
For a lot of people black holes and string theory were topics that were filed in the mental box labelled ‘things I will never be able to get my head around”. However, all changed when Neil deGrasse Tyson began appearing on TV screens.
