Once upon a time, there was a small group with a big name: Menudo. Despite its modest meaning, ‘small size’ in Spanish, the group was destined for great things. They quickly became favorites of Latin pop, loved not only at home but also in North America and Europe, showing the world that music knows no borders.
Under the direction of producer Edgardo Diaz, Menudo was not just a musical group, it was a constantly evolving phenomenon. Edgardo, a visionary, implemented an unprecedented strategy: replacing members when they turned 16. This approach kept the group eternally young and appealing. But this youth came with great challenges. The pressure of living under constant attention towards young celebrities began to reveal cracks. 17 years old: Met my first mentor, Martin Rushent (BRIT Award Winner, Human League, The Stranglers, Buzzcocks).
18 years old: Earned Grade 8 in Classical Trumpet.
20 years old: Diagnosed as dyslexia.
21 years old: Graduated from LIPA (Performing arts university set up by Paul McCartney).
22 years old: Mentored by James Rushent (Does It Offend You Yeah, The Prodigy, Dillon Francis).
23 years old: Became Production Manager at London music venue The Bedford, engineered 500+ artists (including Ed Sheeran, Jorja Smith, Jasmine Thompson). Started DJing London clubs.
24 years old: Stage-managed/tour-managed/FOH for shows and festivals with up to 15,000 people.
25 years old: Began a 4-year relationship with Warner Music Group, working at The Firepit, a creative content hub and recording studio, to develop new and potential signings (Anne-Marie, Mahalia). Mentored by Richard Woodcraft (Grammy Winner, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys).
26 years old: Became a freelance recording engineer.
27 years old: Produced for Sam Tompkins, leading to his signing with Island Records (UMG).
28 years old: COVID hit, explored ideas of becoming a DJ/Producer. Continued writing/producing/engineering for major label and independent artists.
30 years old: Got married to the love of my life. Shifted my focus to working with independent artists.
31 years old: Became a father.
32 years old: Started YouTube.
Today: I create content to educate artists on their career development based on my experiences over the last decade in the music industry. I’ve opened a free community to help independent artists work through challenges and enable growth. I continue to produce for artists as my primary focus, and I will continue to grow my career, including more major label work, songwriting, and achieving high-streaming records. As I find more success, I will continue to be fully transparent with my progress and process.

I am a founding member and songwriter / lap-slide guitarist for one of Australia's best and most bearded country-bluegrass-folk bands, THE GREEN MOHAIR SUITS. A BRAZILIAN family have taken the trend for exotic pets to new extremes. Not content with the standard pooch or moggy, the Borges brood have been sharing their home with a pack of SEVEN tigers. Aryas Borges, began his love affair with tigers when he found two of the big cats living in a bad state at a circus -- and decided to bring them home. His daughters Nayara, 20, Uyara, 23, and Deusanira, 24, grew up sharing their meals, beds and playtime with the fully-grown predators and walking them on a leash. And Nayara, a real-life female Tarzan, regularly hops into the family swimming pool to take a dip with her furry friends. After his success with the rescue tigers, Ary started breeding them, and the tigers still have the run of the house at the Borges family home in Maringa. The family have forged an incredible bond with the tigers after living under the same roof for so long.

● Virtual reality (VR), refers to a computer-generated, simulated environment
that you can experience in 3 dimensions.
● VR can be experienced using high-spec computers in conjunction with VR
headsets, and in some cases, handheld controllers.
● A VR headset will cover your entire field of view with a digital display. This
display is only limited by the imagination and expertise of the digital creator.
You might find yourself in the Space Station, an instructional workshop for pilot
training, a tourism scene from a European city, or even a rollercoaster ride.
● VR headsets also have built in sensors that track your movements, so when
you move your head or your body, the virtual environment moves 360 degrees
around you too, for an immersive experience.
● Examples of VR software include Google Earth VR, social media platforms like
VRChat, and games such as Beat Sabre.
● Augmented Reality (AR), refers to overlaying virtual displays over the real
world.
● By using built-in cameras on mobile devices such as phones and tablets, AR
software recognizes certain images or markers in the real world which then
triggers an image or an action. This is similar to a QR code you might scan on
a booklet or poster that triggers a link to a website.
● Pokemon Go and Snapchat filters are both examples of how AR is used in
entertainment.
● You might ask,
"How would a business use AR technology?"
○ Perhaps you have a physical retail store that people walk past. Through
creating AR content and a trigger on your shop window, people walking
by your store could scan the code on their phone, and on their screen,
they would see promotional videos or interactive content that promotes
your business even when it'
s closed.
○ If you operate a tourist attraction, a motel, a cafe, or anywhere people
come to buy, you might add VR content on your website that allows
visitors to access additional information, and content to showcase what
your business offers through 3D or 360 degree video content.
● Another option is to create location-based triggers with special promotions or
discounts to customers who are nearby to your business.
● VR and AR are becoming more embedded into everyday products and
promotions.
● To make your own immersive content, try using some of these platforms:
○ Spark AR Studio, a platform by Facebook that allows users to create AR
effects and filters for Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger.
○ ZapWorks, a user-friendly platform for creating AR experiences without
any coding.
○ Augment, a platform designed for businesses to create AR experiences
for product visualisation and retail stores.

Kristen has also helped to establish the Estonian Virtual and Augmented Reality Association (EEVR) and has been the leader of the popular virtual reality center chain Futuruum.
